not swimming

So, I am home! Sick! And attempting to get through my to-do list on things that don't require 1) standing or 2) thought!

So I thought, I would check out the local swim classes!

NO ONE PUTS THEIR FUCKING SCHEDULES ON LINE. Why do places not do this. Seriously. A PDF would be fine! YOU HAVE A GODDAMN PDF OF YOUR PRESCHOOL SWIM SCHEDULES, PEOPLE. I KNOW YOU HAVE ONE SOMEWHERE. POST IT.

Now I'm going to have to call and ask. On the phone. Like some kind of animal.

And it's going to have to wait till I have my voice back. What is this nonsense.

Why do places do this? The only way to find out about classes at the place 5 minutes from my house is to call every month and ask if they have scheduled them (they do 3 8-session classes a year, irregularly). Last time I missed calling until a week after class had started, argh

I'm now so pleased my pool does, although it takes at least two weeks after the "term" starts.

YEAH swimming, it is great, it makes everything better (except for the chlorine perfume of my skin)

You would think it would be easier to put the schedule online than to have staff answering the question over and over again, but that would require some easy line between the person who knows stuff at the place and the person who maintains the website. There may simply be no one at the various swim centers or wherever the scheduling is decided who thinks in terms of The Internet. Sadly. It is very last century of them.

AHAHAHA BEST. So perfectly encapsulates my 21st-century communication feels.
