Yeah, you're right, the vocabulary is not great at all. :/ And yet it's what everyone defaults to. When a male partner does something, he's 'helping out.' When a female does something, it's just expected. D: That's not great.

Perhaps it's better for me to say that it's great that he's shouldering his responsibility in this awesome thing you are both doing together? :) (And awesome that you are as well).
